Baby Patisserie loves Pippo footwear, not just because of their stunning shoes and our customers know we love shoes but because they are simply lovely. Pippo founders emailed us to say hello after we appeared in a Mumpreneur column as they are based in the North East too and from there our love affair with Pippo shoes began. We met them officially at BUBBLE London back in January 2012 where they were showcasing their latest collection of stunning footwear. It was love at first sight as we saw their beautiful footwear and design vision and hope that our customers like them as much as we do.

Pippo is a children's footwear brand that offers a range of beautifully made, well-fitted and stylish shoes for children. The brand was the idea of a husband and wife team from the North East of England who found choosing the right footwear for their daughter a difficult task. Frustrated by the limited selection of good quality and reasonably priced footwear available to buy, they began to designing footwear that they considered to be exciting and fun. The unique and versatile shoes that they create are heavily influenced by their own design tastes and draw inspiration from culture around the globe, but most importantly, they remain practical and accessible to many working parents.

Each Pippo shoe is specially designed to look and feel great, using soft and durable materials to ensure that children can enjoy the benefits of wearing good footwear too. The value comes from the endearing quality and style of the product, which is not always trend led.

The brand name Pippo is actually an abbreviation of the Italian boy's name Filippo but it is not a name that appears in the family anywhere. “It was a cute and fun name, and we love the way it sounds.”

Although the brand draws on world-wide influences, it is very much a UK company, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne. Both parents work tirelessly and with great enthusiasm to create new and innovative Pippo shoes. Having a busy family life provides the perfect motivation to strive for higher standards and higher levels of customer service. “We understand the difficulty in shopping for children’s shoes, so we try to make it as easy as possible for mums and dads like ourselves."
